Holy Water is primarily used to protect & cleanse people places or things or to drive away evil spirits or entities and is essential in exorcisms. Similar to smudging; the Holy Water is sprinkled on or over the object to be cleansed or blessed.

Other traditional uses of holy water include baptisms, blessing a new residence when moving in, anointing oneself or others when sick or injured, or before/after prayer/meditation.
